Can I do incremental and differential backups of a VM?
Microsoft Hyper-V does not currently have the ability to perform incremental/differential backups of VMs.
NovaStor DataCenter does support incremental backup on Hyper-V 2012 R2 and 2016 with some restrictions.
Can you restore a single file from a VM backup?
Yes, there is granular restore capability from VM backups created from the Virtual Dashboard.
